Lauren Young, Ed.D.

Dr. Lauren Young is Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Travelers Insurance. She has more than 15 years of experience guiding executives and senior leaders through complex organizational change and has dedicated her career to helping create culture transformations.

Dr. Young attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration and started her career in brand marketing with The Kraft Heinz Company in Chicago, IL. After starting her own consulting firm, Dr. Young expanded her marketing expertise to build sustainable corporate responsibility strategies that drive global organizational change, while earning her M.S. in Applied Psychology from USC. Dr. Young also holds the SHRM-CP certification in Human Resources Management.

In 2020, Dr. Young earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC Rossier and was recognized by Diversity MBA as one of the 'Top 100 Under 50 Executive Leaders' in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. Also, Insurance Business America added Dr. Young to their '2021 Hot 100 List' of insurance professionals who took the industry to new heights in 2020.

Dr. Young will teach PSYC-517: Group Dynamics and Leadership over the summer.
